Help & Troubleshooting

Help! I’m getting an error!

Error: Your library card is not able to access this library. Please contact your local library for further details.

Usually this error comes back when the card and location are not matching our records. Verify that you are using all 14 digits on your library card, without spaces, and that you are logging in under the correct location.
Fix: contact your home library or complete this form.

Error: Invalid credentials. Please try again or contact your library for assistance.

The account number you are typing in doesn’t exist in our system. Verify that you are using all 14 digits without spaces. Usually this occurs with patrons who have old cards and haven’t used them in awhile; the library deletes accounts that have been unused for three years to help protect patron’s personal information.
Fix: Contact your home library or Complete this online application

Error Text: Borrower has an expired card.

Library accounts are free, but they do expire periodically (generally annually) so that we can verify your contact information and preferences. If you see this error combined with “Borrower is a member of a party whose account has been blocked”, it’s typically a sign that another member of your household (such as a parent or spouse) is also expired and will need to be renewed.
Fix: Contact your home library or complete a renewal request online

Error: Verification Code isn’t working

This usually means that you got a card using your cell phone number and it has now expired. Cell phone cards, called Instant Cards in Libby, are intended to be temporary and expire after six months. All Oil Creek libraries offer online application forms.
Fix: Contact your home library or complete this application form.

Error: Borrower’s account has been blocked or Borrower has reached fine limit : Please see a Library Staff member for assistance

Fix: You will need to contact your home library to resolve the issue.

Error: An error has occurred.

This could range from our system being down, to an internet hiccup, to a problem with your account. We have to look further to figure it out.
Fix: Contact your home library or complete this help form.

I have a new library card number or I’ve logged in under a different home library in the past, and some of my holds or checkouts aren’t showing up in my app.

It is likely that we need to merge your accounts in Libby so everything gets linked up! Just fill out this form with your numbers and we’ll take care of it!
